They tend to be decorated with ornate fittings, lavish rich wood veneers, much brass and iron and stained or cut glass in their midst. These Pubs tended to be found in the large urban cities, particularly Dublin, Cork and Belfast. They conveyed an air of opulence and wealth. Period country estate house also displayed this remarkable style. The key to recreating such an environment is based upon the ability to source the rich materials to construct such a period piece.
